About the program

Gain the hands-on experience and entry-level skills needed to get a job in the electronics industry with a certificate in Industrial Controls.

Through hands-on projects, you’ll learn the basics of wiring and programming the latest programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human machine interfaces (HMIs), and motor controls.

Dunwoody’s program curriculum is aligned with standards set forth by:

  • Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute (PMMI)
  • Institute of Packing Professionals (IoPP)
  • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)

This means that you graduate with the skills and credentials you need to get a good job in a wide variety of manufacturing-related industries.

Credits earned in the Industrial Controls certificate directly transfer into Dunwoody’s Industrial Controls & Robotics, Automated Systems & Robotics, or Electronics Technology associate’s degree programs.
