Blender/Warehouse Associates work full-time from Monday to Friday. A Warehouse Associate works 1st Shift with hours starting at 7:00am to 3:00pm. Award Staffing’s Warehouse Associate jobs are temp-to-hire. This position is accessible through personal transportation.

Job Description

Blend raw materials according to a work order and including sample testing to produce various blended products.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Follow written instructions on the Work Order (WO) for the production of various blended products.
  • Gather raw material needed for blending a product per work ticket and blending work instructions.
  • Prepare samples and gain approval before completing work order and a second sample at the end of blending.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
  • Complete tasks as directed by production schedules with minimum supervision.
  • Receive materials and place into inventory from trucks and railcars using a computerized warehouse management system.
  • Utilize all material handling equipment safely, efficiently, and perform all required safety checks and communicate need for repairs.
  • Package bulk material as required by a WO for replenishment. Flexible in work schedule due to product schedule and direction changes.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Cross train and work in other areas of the Roseville operation if needed (Oily water recycling, chemical blending, terminal operations).
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
  • Accept schedule and direction when there are changes in workloads.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Attend monthly departmental and production meetings.
  • Minimal travel required for this position, e.g. On occasion travel may be required between locations depending on business needs.

Minimum Years of Experience

High school diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years’ experience blending materials using precise measurements and methods (preferred). Troubleshoot mechanical problems on the production line as they occur. Basic mathematical abilities. Mechanical aptitude. Forklift Operation Certification preferred, training provided. Employee must have the ability to lift/carry up to 70 pounds occasionally and push/pull drums weighing up to 400 lbs. occasionally. The employee is occasionally required to stand, and/or walk and climb staircases frequently. Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations. Ability to work flexible hours or weekends, as business needs dictate. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work is performed in a warehouse setting. Noise level is moderate to loud. Although the warehouse is climate controlled, the employee will need to be able to adapt to different climate changes.

Salary or Hourly Rate

$17 per hour

    Individuals working at least 30 hours per week are eligible for the Minimum Essential Coverage Group Health Plan. New associates are eligible on the 1st of the month following 60 days from their date of hire.

  • 401K
    Following one year and 1,000 hours of employment, individuals are eligible to participate in our

    401k retirement savings plan. Award Staffing has make matching contributions up to 4%.

  • Paid Vacation
    Award associates are eligible for 40 hours of paid vacation after 1,600 hours of work in a

    calendar year.

  • Paid Holidays

    All Award associates are eligible to be paid for five national holidays upon completing 500 hours of work within one employment anniversary year while working an average of 35 hours per week between each holiday.
