Job Description

As an Electrical Assembler, you will complete electrical lay-out, wiring, documentation, and testing of BGK systems. You should be familiar with electrical components such as power supplies, motors, photo eyes, sensors, and pneumatic solenoid valves. Familiarity with machine controls and PCs is also required.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Review electrical schematics with electrical engineer prior to system assembly
  • Color code wire sizes on schematics
  • Complete list of wire numbers and quantities required and print wire labels
  • Measure, cut, and label wire bundles by size
  • Complete line lay-out plan of conduit and wire duct routing of system
  • Size, locate, and layout junction boxes, cut holes as required
  • Cut and assemble wire way, bend, and install conduit
  • Locate and install various photo-eyes and sensors with proper bracket locations
  • Label, pull, and terminate interconnect wiring for all system components including drives, motors, fans, and main power cabinet
  • Assist engineering in system check-out and customer run-off prep
  • Complete shipment preparation (skidding, packing) of system electrical components
  • Contribute to overall team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Conduct Auto-Cure (Arm Cell) pre-ship check-out/testing
  • Conduct system electrical cabinet pre-ship check-out/testing (PLC’s, drives, breakers, etc.)
  • Conduct supervision of customer site install/start-up oven systems, conveyors, controls

Minimum Years of Experience

High school diploma or equivalent. 2 years of electrical assembly experience required. Possess the ability to read, understand, and apply information presented in various product documents such as prints, charts, and parts sheets. Technical degree is preferred.
