As a Fire Alarm Inspector, you will inspect fire alarm systems, while also coordinating with Service Technicians, to ensure the safety of clients. What makes someone successful in this role:
Competitive
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work independently and with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. 2+ years documented experience with fire alarm system inspections. Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets Company requirements. Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices. Experience installing, inspecting, and repairing fire alarm systems. Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements. Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures. Retaining any licenses that are required by national, state, and local codes. Knowledge of applicable NFPA standards. NICET II certification preferred. FAL license. Backflow Certification. Additional certifications related to fire safety are a plus – FEL-A, FEL-B, FEL-K. Knowledge of manufacturer’s equipment. Physical demands include: the employee is regularly required to talk or hear for up to 8 hours in any shift; the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk for up to 8 hours in any shift; the employee will use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms and have constant use of overall vision (or with the use of adaptive equipment/technology) for up to 8 hours in any shift; the employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds; the employee must occasionally crawl, squat, climb, kneel, or bend throughout shift.
