Job Description

Service commercial and residential garage doors and garage door operators, including communication with customers

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Service commercial and residential garage doors and garage door operators
• Troubleshoot already installed garage doors that are experiencing operation issues
• Gather payment from customers
• Frequently use tools to complete jobs and lift materials
• Install springs
• Operate a company vehicle
• Frequently climb ladders
• Frequent use of hand/power tools including but not limited to, impact driver, drills, hammer drills, assorted saws, welders, grinders, saw-cutters, hammer, screwdriver, socket wrenches, etc.
• Communicate with customers regarding their garage door and/or garage door operator
• Work hours begin at 7 am and generally go to about 3 pm. Hours will vary on a day-to-day basis; flexibility in scheduling preferred
• Use smartphones and tablets for digital dispatching of work
• Learn about and safely use all types of hand tools, power tools, scissor lifts, forklifts, torches, and welders
• Train to safely service, repair or install all types of doors including sectional doors, rolling steel doors, fire doors, security gates and their operating systems.

Minimum Years of Experience

Entry level. Experience preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidates. Some mechanical knowledge and experience is helpful.
