Job Description

The Industrial Services Technician will perform fluid maintenance activities on metal working tools and other duties as assigned.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Replacing or recycling metal working fluids
  • Developing best practices to increase productively (reducing the number of hours of labor to perform a given job activity)
  • Setting up and operating moderately complex equipment
  • Driving and stocking a service van
  • Interacting with the customer so that work can be performed in an active shop in a minimally intrusive manner
  • Following checklists, cleaning up, precise mixing/confirming of basic chemical recipes
  • Cross selling industrial services (driver seller model)

The working environment and other characteristics will include:

  • Offsite customer locations and driving a company vehicle
  • Moderately high noise level work environment
  • Occasional overnight travel (1-2 nights per month)

Other mental and physical demands include:

  • Labor intensive at external customer’s facilities/buildings
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds independently
  • Ability to maneuver about a job site including small spaces in and around equipment
  • Awareness of chemical hazards and machinery pinch point hazards associated with working in an industrial environment at an external customer’s site
  • Working in a safe manner is a basis for employment at Lube-Tech

Minimum Years of Experience

High School Diploma or GED. Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Strong mechanical skills. Knowledge of and experience with troubleshooting and maintaining complex electromechanical equipment. Team player. Ability to maneuver a job site, including small spaces in around our equipment. Attention to detail, strategic thinking.
