As a Maintenance Technician Apprentice, you will receive on-the-job training to learn how to repair, maintain, install, and troubleshoot industrial equipment at the Apothecary Products' Burnsville manufacturing plant. This hands-on position will also support general facility maintenance activities as part of a small team. This full-time opportunity is best suited for a mechanically-inclined individual who desires a career as a Maintenance/Industrial Technician within 1 year. This position is: Day Shift: Monday – Friday from 8am – 4:30pm with infrequent overtime.
Entry-level. High School diploma or equivalent; advanced education in related trade preferred. Prior experience operating plant equipment or in similar capacity preferred. Ability to gain working knowledge of facility and mechanical preventative maintenance programs quickly. Mechanical aptitude. Willingness to develop skill set through hands-on and classroom training. Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. Strong communicator – written and verbal. Working knowledge of reading and interpretation of equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Ability to gain working knowledge of General Manufacturing Practices (GMP) quickly. Willingness to continuously improve and be open to feedback to improve individual performance. Adhere to all safety policies. Technical proficiency to productively work with and in Microsoft Office and other business systems. Verified experience operating in a fast-paced business experience with demonstrated effectiveness in a small company/location.
