Job Description

As a Manufacturing Tech II – MG Commercial & Pilot Plant (2nd shift - 3:00pm - 11:15pm), you will be responsible for following manufacturing processes and procedures on the designated shift to ensure safe, quality pharmaceutical product manufacturing. You will set up, adjust, and troubleshoot pharmaceutical manufacturing machinery and ensure manufacturing operations are completed per standard operating procedure. You will also train and qualify to operate manufacturing equipment, including press operation and encapsulation, in the commercial manufacturing environment. This position requires flexibility and the willingness to work through many changing priorities. You must be willing to flex hours (work first and/or second shift hours) when required to meet business needs.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Execute manufacturing operations, processes, and procedures
  • Coordinate the manufacturing efforts for designated manufacturing processes
  • Complete machine set up, operation, tooling changes, adjustments, and troubleshooting related to the operation of manufacturing equipment
  • Maintain manufacturing equipment efficiencies and standards to meet quality manufacturing requirements and established routing times
  • May train new team members or retraining for current team members to ensure all standard operating procedures are followed, as written
  • Maintain appropriate quality and production documentation, while responsible for the review of all assigned batch record documentation to ensure error-free work
  • Perform general, light maintenance and troubleshooting of machines and related equipment
  • Collaborate with Pharmaceutical Development team on development projects, as required
  • Train and qualify to operate other pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment as needed for development or commercial product manufacturing
  • Review daily production compared to defined routings and identify ideas for continuous improvement
  • Assist Technical Services, Maintenance, and Engineering departments with new equipment, exception investigations, and equipment qualifications
  • Ensure a safe work environment and that team members are performing job duties in accordance with all safety requirements and guidelines
  • Demonstrate and work in accordance with Corporate Values, and demonstrate the ability to promote these values to manufacturing team members

Minimum Years of Experience

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing, packaging, or maintenance/mechanical environment. Experience operating automated machinery/and or manufacturing equipment (e.g. blenders, coating pans) strongly preferred. Ability to demonstrate mechanical and technical knowledge of cGMP and pharmaceutical packaging standard operating procedures. Possess the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand on your feet for 8-10 hours.

Salary or Hourly Rate

$18.75+, based on related experience
