As a Night Mechanic you will complete repairs and preventive maintenance on heavy duty trucks and trailers at Veit’s Truck Shop in Rogers, MN. You will work the night shift with every other Friday off.
Vocational or technical training/certification preferred. Vocational students encouraged to apply. Experience using diagnostic software is a plus. Welding experience is a plus. Hold a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), or have the ability to obtain within 1 year. Possess strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of heavy-duty truck components. Ability to adhere to all safety rules, policies, and regulations, and the ability to maintain a safe work environment. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with changing priorities and situations. Must be able to effectively communicate with coworkers and management, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently at times, assuring repair decisions are made utilizing appropriate experience and that tasks are completed and in a timely manner. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
