As a Mechanical Assembler I, you will support our System Manufacturing Department and be responsible for performing mechanical assembly work on our large electronic test equipment sold as capital equipment to the semiconductor industry, including assembly of mechanical parts by positioning, aligning, and fastening units to assemblies, sub-assemblies, or frames using hardware, adhesives, hand tools, and power tools. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt. This is an 8 hour day shift, Monday to Friday.
Entry-level. High School Diploma or GED. Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Mechanical aptitude. Manual dexterity. Good eyesight. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and sit for extended periods of time and use hand tools. Able to climb and work from a ladder. Ability to work individually or as part of a team. High attention to detail and self-motivation skills. Preferred qualifications include: experience in electro-mechanical assembly; experience reading mechanical prints; and forklift and/or pallet jack experience. This position is primarily stationary with the need to sit or stand most of the workday. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. May be required to periodically crouch, stoop, bend, or reach across all planes. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/or move material weighing up to 60 pounds, 0-33 % of time. May be exposed to high noise levels for short amounts of time. Noise levels average around 70 decibels and intermittently reach 85 decibels when working near large machinery (hearing protection required).
$20-22 per hour
