You will begin your Andersen career as an Extrusion Associate, learning the basics of Fibrex Extrusion. As an associate, you'll assist the Operator with daily tasks while continuing your learning and training to become an Operator yourself. Once an Extruder Operator, you can further your skills to become a Senior Extruder Operator. We also have positions in Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Leadership.
This position works straight days (6AM-6PM) or straight nights (6PM - 6AM). You will work 3 consecutive days then have 3 consecutive days off. Three weeks you will work 36 hours and then three weeks you will work 48 hours. Each crew works 3 consecutive weekends, then has 3 consecutive weekends off. Over the course of one year, you’ll work up to 80 days less than a normal 5-day work week.
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent for full-time employment. Desire to learn skills on the job in a fast paced environment. Dependability and punctuality. Ability to articulate both written and verbal processes and procedures. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, performing tasks requiring repetitive motion and standing for long periods of time. Willingness to cross-train on several operations. Ability to demonstrate competency in safety, quality, initiative, teamwork, attitude and attendance. Shift flexibility.
