Job Description

The Production Operator is an entry level manufacturing position that works on a 3 or 4 member team to operate a food spray dryer and produce food powders. The entry level position’s primary responsibility revolves around powder material handling, powder packaging, and in conjunction with the team – equipment sanitation. No prior manufacturing or food experience required – we will train. Employee safety, food safety, and meeting customer specifications and requirements are our highest priorities.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Fill bags or totes to proper weight
  • Stack finished product on pallets in a neat and orderly manner
  • Properly label product according to instructions
  • Ensure the safe operation of food packaging machines
  • Adhere to proper sanitation and product safety guidelines
  • Maintain proper documentation of processes
  • Strictly adhere to all SOPs and standard work
  • Build product samples according to quality assurance guidelines
  • Collaborate with team on performance and continuous improvement of processes
  • Follow Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and HAACP Programs, to ensure safety of self, others, and product.
  • Alert the team when any process is not functioning normally; participate in problem-solving
  • Play a strong team role during execution of sanitation procedures
  • Cover for others during breaks
  • Conduct strong and thorough turnovers to incoming team
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Years of Experience

Five years (not required to be in manufacturing)

Salary or Hourly Rate

Start at $15.80 to $16.80 depending on experience
