Job Description

Develop quality plans from engineering drawings and determine gage and fixture requirements; ensure the quality of parts produced meet all customer expectations; quickly and effectively take action when non-conformances are found.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct activities concerned with development, application and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials and products.
  • Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation, utilizing knowledge in engineering.
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
  • Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem-solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action on internal defects and customer returns.
  • Work closely with engineering and production to streamline the overall quality process by removing redundancy.

Minimum Years of Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent GED. 3 years of related experience. Exceptional mechanical aptitude. Good verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 6 years of related experience ASQ Certification. Technical knowledge of machining processes. Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
