Job Description

Install, commission and service Delkor Packaging machines.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Set up, commission, install, and troubleshoot packaging and related equipment.
• Apply knowledge of electrical circuits, vision, robotics, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, programming and testing equipment to complete work assignments.
• Use technical manuals, schematic diagrams, and installation instructions to determine tasks to be performed.
• Troubleshoot, locate and replace faulty equipment using diagnostics and test equipment.
• Advise and train the customer in the operation and maintenance of our systems.
• Complete documentation pertaining to changes and improvements.

Minimum Years of Experience

Two-year Automated Systems and Robotics or related degree, or commensurate experience. Five or more (5+) years of prior experience doing equipment related field work. Understanding of the fundamentals of assembly and commissioning of packaging or related types of equipment. This technician should be able to handle standard types of packaging equipment. Experience in using various types of pneumatic and electrical tools including air tools, grinders, lifting and moving devises, saws, drills and assortments of hand tools. Ability to work independently and in team environments. Time management and attention to detail are a must. Remote Technicians can travel independently up to 100% of the time on short notice, to install and/or service Delkor equipment at customer’s facilities. Service technicians must live within one (1) hour of a major airport. Local Technicians will travel on average of 70%, with 30% of their time working on the Delkor assembly floor, commissioning or assembling Delkor equipment.
