Job Description

As a System Test Technician, you will support the System Manufacturing Department and be responsible for performing testing on large electronic test equipment sold as capital equipment to the semiconductor industry, including power up, functional system verification, and final check-out of equipment. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt. This is an 8 hour day shift, Monday to Friday.

Day to Day Responsibilities

  • Execute checkout procedures to verify system functionality
  • Conduct system power-up verification
  • Conduct system functional testing
  • Verify circuit card electronics per diagnostics
  • Conduct pre-power check
  • Make incoming power and facility connections
  • Verify all safety circuits for functionality
  • Test, burn-in, and hi-pot high powered supplies and transformers
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Maintain a consistent, acceptable level of quality and productivity.
  • Perform other duties as directed

Minimum Years of Experience

Associates degree in Electronics Technology or related field. Two years relevant experience. Experience with 3 phase power and AC control circuitry. Ability to read electrical circuit schematics. Ability to follow test and checkout procedures. Proficient with the use of oscilloscopes and DVM’s. PC competency. High attention to detail and self-motivation skills. Ability to work individually or as part of a team. Preferred qualifications include: VFD, PLC, and network switch controller experience; mechanical aptitude; and knowledge of AC components and control circuitry. This [osition is primarily stationary with the need to sit or stand most of the workday. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision,and ability to adjust focus. May be required to periodically crouch, stoop, bend, or reach across all planes. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/or move material weighing up to 60 pounds, 0-33 % of time. May be exposed to high noise levels for short amounts of time. Noise levels average around 70 decibels and intermittently reach 85 decibels when working near large machinery (hearing protection required).

Salary or Hourly Rate

$25-31 per hour
