Job Description

Build wire harness using engineering and manufacturing documents.

This position is for the 6:00 am to 2:30 pm shift M-F.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Build Wire Harness from documentation
• Crimp terminals on wire
• Read, understand and utilize various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of materials, wire lists, etc.
• Make harnesses on harness boards utilizing schematics, 2D documents, and engineering part numbers
• Identify issues with reports and work with engineering to correct issues
• Document QC and problem resolution logs
• Maintain a safe, organized and efficient work area
• Assist in 6S and Lean activities as required
• Identify and assist in process improvement measures
• Assist in training measures as needed
• Assist in other areas of manufacturing as needed
• Ensure the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization

Minimum Years of Experience

High school education or equivalent. Proficiency using precision measurement tools (tape measure, ruler, etc.). Entry level though experience working in an ISO environment preferred. High motivation level and ability to multi-task. Ability to work with independently with limited supervision. Ability to work well with others. Strong attention to detail, organization and time management skills. Safety awareness and practice. Good math and communication skills. Demonstrated computer skills. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English without the aid of an interpreter. Ability to work overtime depending on work load.
