Job Description

Under the direction of Warehouse Leader, expeditor and lead people, operate a yard tractor in order to most efficiently transport material and product throughout Company facilities.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Move trailers around Company property as needed.
• Transport trailers containing finished goods to finished goods warehouse.
• Unload and locate finished goods in finished goods warehouse.
• Report any maintenance needs of trailers and yard tractor(s).
• Keep yard tractor(s) clean, fueled and in proper working condition.
• Occasionally locate and deliver expedited parts for shipping.
• Time allowing, deliver dies from Building III to Production.
• Drive forklift or Company pickup to deliver parts as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all safety regulations.
• Must represent the Company in a professional, honest and forthright manner.

Minimum Years of Experience

Graduation from high school or equivalent. At least one year of recent experience. Must have Class A license with medical card. Ability to exercise initiation and self-motivation. Ability to perform basic material handling activities in a manufacturing/warehouse environment. Knowledge of related safety requirements to include proper use of safety equipment and proper safety precautions. Ability to operate and safely maneuver a forklift. Ability to understand, follow and issue routine oral and written instructions. Ability to understand and maintain effective working relationships with others. Must possess effective communication skills.

Salary or Hourly Rate

Competitive. 20% shift premium for 2nd shift. 30% premium for 3rd shift.
