Century College’s new Additive and Digital Manufacturing program addresses the needs of the workforce by training students in computer-based design/simulation, electronics, programming, mechanics, 3D printing, and automation to develop, operate and maintain advanced digital-based manufacturing systems and processes currently used in business and industry.
The degree is comprised of two aspects, Additive and Digital:
Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) is becoming commonplace across the globe, from rapid prototype uses, medical modeling, and tooling to low-volume end-use production parts. Students are taught a variety of 3D printing technologies, along with advanced CAD work in a primarily hands-on environment.
Digital Manufacturing focuses on the advancement of machines and technology currently being implemented on manufacturing floors. Technology used in our lab includes:
