The Trades Hub Wallin Scholars program supports lower-income students who seek trades and manufacturing careers requiring a technical education. Trades Hub Wallin Scholars are provided with tuition aid in pursuit of two-year Associate’s degrees while also working part time for an employer who has a full-time position waiting for them once they graduate.
Trades Hub Wallin Scholars will begin school in the fall of 2021 at a technical school and in a particular degree program specified in the job posting.
To be considered for a Trades Hub Wallin Scholar position in partnership with our Trades Ambassador companies, you may attend ANY high school in the metro area. These positions are posted on the Trades Hub job board and may be discovered by typing "Wallin" into the right search bar. (The current list of Trades Hub Wallin Scholar positions may be seen here.)
To be considered for the broader Wallin Education Partners program called Opportunity Pathway, students must currently attend one of the high schools listed at the bottom of this document. Opportunity Pathway students may pursue a broader range of potential careers than those available through the Trades Hub Wallin Scholar position. Please see the Opportunity Pathway site for more information.
